VINTAGE Fewture Galley: DEMON LORD DANTE (Fewture Exclusive – 2001)
Got another Fewture gallery here. This one is of the exclusive Dante figure. If he looks familiar he should because Dante was the build a figure character from the Devilman: More than Demon line (figure number 00). What makes this one unique is that it’s sold already assembled AND it’s painted unlike the build a figure version which was jet black, which is fine since the color black works for Dante. The painted one carries the color of the manga/anime counterpart except since this is a Fewture paint job it looks very slick and appropriately monstrous.

VINTAGE Fewture Galley: ZENON 2000
Weird calling something that’s about ten years old “vintage” but oh well. This here is my favorite Devilman figure from the Fewture’s Devilman: More than Demon line. From the design, the size and the even the nice little gimmick of the hell-void hologram in the mid section of the figure it’s still very impressive. In my opinion the Zenon figure was the apex of the line.

VINTAGE Fewture Galley: JINMEN 1999
Can’t believe that this figure has been around as long as it has been. It’s still a fantastic work of art out of the bizarre mind of Yasushi Nirasawa (who basically is the one who deserves credit for giving the Devilman franchise the stylistic shot in the arm it needed some ten years ago). In fact I think Fewture in general doesn’t get enough credit for what they did in the past (those people who tell you that Marvel Legends created the first build a figure are dead wrong).
So along with the new item galleries on this site I’m going to pepper it with some Fewture figs (Devilman and Baki the Grappler and Baki while the show was terrible it was ground breaking when it came to joints in the action figure world).
For now enjoy this one of the most fucked up demonic looking turtle you’ll ever see.

figuAX Gallery: A Demon, A Super Robot and an Android…
Walk into a bar.
Actually no they don’t.
I don’t know that joke. Still here we have a figuAX gallery that have several (but not all) Go Nagai characters. All legendary in their own way. You got Devil Man, Sister Jill, Satan and others in 3D glory.
Sadly however, there is no Violence Jack.

MEDICOM Gallery: More than Demon…
Back again today with a very special gallery for all you retro manga fans! Today’s subject is the Medicom Stylish collection Devilman and Akira Fudo! Most of you are probably more used to how Devilman looks today but these 1/6 scale figures immortalize the original image of that Go Nagai brought to us more than 30 years ago that many fans outside of asia probably are unaware of. These figures look like they jumped right out of the original Go Nagai manga from 1972!! Paying homage to the classics, this is quite an impressive set -_^

KAIYODO Gallery: Giving the Devil It’s Due
While I prefer the FEWTURE style, Nirasawa Devilman the most I still respect the classic incarnation that Go Nagai created 36 years ago. Kaiyodo has done Devilman in the past; in the form of action figures so they’re no strangers to the license (or to the countless repaints they subjected us to) and these statues are very detailed. Outstanding sculpting through and through, which is expected by anything Kaiyodo (at least that’s my thought process anyway).
What really surprised me was how small these statues are. Really, these are smaller than your standard Revoltech.
