Review & Gallery: Bruce Lee, Enter the Dragon Medicom – 李小龍
“Mr. Lee, Why You No Wear Uniform?!”
Rites of passage.
We all go through them several times in our lives. Different things and events can trigger these moments, especially when you’re a little kid. Some little kids go through it when they find out that certain heart felt truths aren’t true at all. For some kids it can be something like finding out that Santa Clause isn’t real. It’s quite the blow for the little ones out there realizing that. For me, it was finding out that Bruce Lee was dead. Not only was he dead, but he died before I was born. It was quite sobering. I was little, watched every martial arts movie my dad was able to get with his EROLS card and to this day I remember that the first EVER VHS movie my dad ever rented was The Chinese Connection (which in reality was Fist of Fury, but you already know about that story). I was little and I saw “Bruce” everywhere. Bruce Li, Bruce Le, Dragon Lee (oh God was he awesome and terrible. He was Awerrible) and I thought the guy was in a billion movies. Needless to say I learned a lot about Bruce over time. Who he was, what he believed, what he did and what he didn’t do. I even did a portrait of him for my illustration class final. It’s quite obvious that his charismatic hold on me never waned.
Flash forward to October of 2006. ENTERBAY had knocked everyone out with their-then upcoming line of Bruce Lee one-sixth figures. It literally was the talk of the one-sixth community. Whether it was good, bad, overpriced, it didn’t matter as the buzz on it was more than good or bad comments could smother.

Medicom Gallery: Movie Version VENOM, That Alone Should Make You Click!
Yeah, Venom wasn’t in the movie for a whole lot of time but when he was there he took center stage and he takes center stage in this gallery as well. I wasn’t sure how this was going to turn out due how tight he is but I’m very pleased with the result.
We really had a lot of fun working on this particular gallery and we hope you enjoy looking at it.

Review & Gallery: Black Suited Spider-Man 3 Medicom
“The Power… Feels Good”
I was in line for six hours-SIX HOURS-to be there at the midnight showing of Spider-Man 3. For me and many other people on the planet, it’s the most anticipated movie of the summer (which, as of this writing, has raked in 391 million worldwide). That’s saying a lot considering you have big name sequels like “Pirates of the Caribbean 3: At Worlds End”, “Transformers”, “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix”, “Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer”, and even the unnecessary and unasked-for pop culture throat-jammer that is “Shrek 3: The Quickening.”
All are back and all have various levels of merchandise to sell. Of course there was one bit of merchandise that obviously caught my interest.

REVIEW & GALLERY: Ghost Rider Medicom
“SHOUT AT THE DEVIL!”
It’s not very often that the devil can bestow otherworldly powers on you and give you a cool look to boot. But that’s what happened to Johnny Blaze. Sure he lost his dad, is cursed to walk the earth, and now spends his spare time foiling whatever plans Mephistopheles has. Sounds like good times to me (Just so you know, I’m going by the movie version of the story because that’s what the Medicom doll is based on, so don’t expect to hear the name Mephisto mentioned here — a second time that is).
Ghost Rider is currently enjoying a very successful stint at the box office (crossing the world wide mark of $200 million). It’s easy to say that he’s on fire or en fuego (ugh), but he is. Medicom has thrown their kimono into the super hero ring once again and have given us the nicest Ghost Rider figure on the market — and probably the nicest Marvel Medicom ever.
