The awesome clash of Devilman vs. Jinmen.. all 2:54 seconds of it. Don't sneeze or you'll miss the epic-ness of this encounter. Watch an anorexic Akira Fudo go to work.
...it's socially acceptable to be a dick and if you can be a dick then you can walk around with a shotgun and a cherry looking helmet while screaming at frightened strangers to say your name.
A tribute to the worst older brother a dude could have.
Normally Japanese trailers make things better but not this time. They tried to make it work but in the process of showing more it showed how terrible it actually is. In this case less is more and wow, way to cast the perfect guy to play Son Goku. Wow, such charisma. That was sarcasm. No seriously.
In my mind I see Wanderlei Silva stomping the crap out of everyone involved. I'm funny that way.
Oh well use this beauty to pacify you. What's that you say? It's already out? While I have my doubts still about it (seriously the guy calls himself McG) this one movie below is something I have no doubts over.
Hopefully some manufacturer of 1/6 out there will make a nice version of this Jason and his trusty utility belt (click on to watch or go to the YT page and watch it in sexy HD).
The best game you'll never play (I guess a PS3 game of Devilman would actually look better than this).
Yes things are bad.
Conversion rates could be better (if you buy imports like me then you know how big a deal that is) but at least gas is cheaper right? Well I found this nifty little widget and well it could come in handy (since it is a cyclical thing it will go up again).. Gas in my area is 2.02 for Super.
What are you paying for your gas?
Great news for me. Guess what came out on the 21st of this month? Why it's the long overdue Hokuto No Ken movie dvd from 1986. A DVD of it has existed but in HK DVD form. Which wasn't very good quality but hey it was cheap and it could play on any DVD player. That or you had an old Streamline VHS tape of the movie with the altered defeated Kenshiro ending.
Still that movie resonates very passionately among fans as it was one of the first things they probably remember seeing when non-American syndicated anime came over to the US way back in the day (along with Ninja Scroll, Vampire Hunter D and so on). Some got introduced to the genre because of it so it's fondly remembered (for the curious I got into it via the action figures when years ago Tendou introduced me to the figures, then the comic when he said the immortal words "I think you'll like it".)
So now after all of these years it's out on DVD in its remastered glory. While this movie is uber busy trying to cram nine books into it I can say that the animation still holds up and I still get pumped watching Raoh kick the crap out of people to the tune of Heart of Madness.
This one above all others hurts me the most. As you know we here at Henshinhobby (you know, the guys that decided to take 5 month break) hold the Hokuto No Ken series very highly. In fact I can say with 100% confidence that if that series were to not exist then there would be no Henshinhobby (which would make some people happy but Ha ha!).
So we love it that much is obvious. Way back in the day when I had to buy these little things called VHS tapes I went into some probably out of business store and purchased the Live Action adaption to Fist of the North Star movie.
It was one of the most horrific things I've ever seen. Unlike the Devilman movie this one had actual filmmaking talent behind it. You have a group of guys who worked in several capacities in the Hellraiser series (at least the first two kicked ass) and of course the most successful of that Hellraiser bunch Christopher Young who composed tons of stuff including Spider-Man 3.
It could have been a decent flick but it wasn’t. In fact it’s fucking terrible and at times embarrassing. Oddly enough there is a cult following for this movie that tends to say that “it’s ok for an action flick”. Other than suggesting to them to watch more action flicks I’m at a loss but whatever, I come to bury this movie not the people who dig it.
I stick behind what I said earlier about Devilman being the worse (I’ve seen Kekko Kamen but that had the budget of a can of soup and it had tits so it gets a pass). But as I stated in the beginning this one hurt the most because I love this franchise the most. Believe me when I tell you I can write a disgustingly large amount about why this movie doesn’t work but I won’t because I don’t want to miss my train.
So take a gander below and absorb the trailer.
Because the impending Dragonball live action movie can't be good and because kids apparently can't be treated to a good movie unless some dorky kid wizard is involved I wanted to go in my way back machine and torture you with horrible anime to live action flicks from years past.
I'll probably start off with the single worst anime to live action movie I can think off. No it's not the live action Fist of the North Star with Gary Daniels. While that and the other Fist of the North Star live action movies (Korea, Taiwan I'm looking at you) are really dreadfull this one takes the cake.
I bring you Devilman from 2004. Now I love Devilman in all his incarnations. I love Devilman Lady (Manga yes Anime no), I fucking LOVE Violence Jack, Devilman: AMON, the yellow shirt delinquent bastard from the early TV series... I'm a huge fan. Then this came out. Now I know manga/anime transitions into live action don't normally turn out well. My expectations are low and a subject like Devilman with it's brutality will turn people off but man this movie is horrible. The effects are terrible, Devilman's fully rendered visage looks like it MAY give the PS2 a run for it's money effects wise, Satan sorta kinda looks like Satan and Seline isn't topless (the same can be said for Satan if you think about it). There is a laundry list of issues that this movie has that it would take me a long time to fully breakdown and analyze this movie but I won't because I have a life (at least that's what my toys tell me).
Here is the trailer. The telecast of Bob Sapp commentating on the apocalypse should immediately tell you how fubar'd this whole movie was.
Not toy related but this is a movie I've been looking forward to for a long time. This is Donnie Yen's Ip Man project. The website is up but the English language portion isn't. It will be but not yet.
Below is the footage that is on the site via youtube.
Enjoy!
Oh and expect some toys on this site sometime soon. Seriously.
100% fucking terrible.
100% fucking terrible.
100% fucking terrible.
100% fucking terrible.
I can only imagine how bad Hitler is taking this one.
I've done it three times today but I'll keep replacing it. One gets taking down and another takes it's place.
An American Rashamon remake?
"Action will be moved from ancient Japan to contempo America, where a court must decide the facts about the rape of a woman and the murder of her husband."
Oh well. It can't be worse than Dragon Ball... well I take that back. This could also be terrible but in a whole new way.
While we haven't posted a gallery in a bit (worry not some are on their way. I figure here are a few shots to whet the appetite. This is Cammy from Street Fighter. I really don't know what to add. She's pretty iconic as it is so just ignore me and stare at her ass I mean the pretty pictures.
More to come.

Nice trailer. It reminds of the old PRIDE intro's from a few years ago (sniff). I dig it and I'm curious to see where they will take this story.
Enjoy the trailer folks!
Big news today... awe shit.
That's not Graf Orlok, Dracula or even a Damaskinos. It's Piccolo if you can believe it. Seriously.
Who here is really shocked that this looks terrible? Some movies are so bad that they're timeless in there craptatude (Superman IV) but others are so bad, so off the mark that they are simply hard to watch (Live action Fist of the North Star). Dragonball has all the makings of being hard to watch.
Years ago when I was very young I told Tendou about a Japanese show I saw in Nicaragua about this old Japanese sea ship flying in space fighting Aliens and what not. Since Tendou is a wee bit younger than me he had no Idea what the hell I was talking about which was frustrating as hell and to be honest the notion of an ancient looking Japanese boat flying in space with sail fully out sounds pretty ridiculous. I thought I would never see it again. After all it had been 25+ years since I last saw it.
But a friend from Peru hooked me up with some Nostalgia (at least now Tendou will know what the hell I was talking about for so many years).
As for the site being more active, we're taking a bit of a break but will be back in mid-September. I have a new job and video editing takes up a lot of my time. Tendou well, is Tendou and he'll try to post more but he's busy flying back and forth from Asia. We're getting a new guy in to. So yeah we'll be back soon.
(Dragonball live action will still suck)
We it's been a while since the last HNK edification (Novermber of last year to be exact) and with all the new stuff surrouding the franchise (including that "Elseworld-ish animated Special their doing where Kenshiro is a hunter and Jagi is like an undead thing, There will be toys based of it btw) that I figure I should post another video. This video is the final opening of the series. This one has that famous "Tough Boy" song but since it's the end of the series this one has Kaioh at the end instead of Falco (Kaioh is Raoh's cool looking but not as cool older brother).
Enjoy the vid and oh yeah below is the HNK special I was talking about.
Haven't done a shoot 2 Fly in a while so I figure this would make a nice little three picture post. For those who were around collecting at the time Fewture was making really nice action figures that while they weren't super posable or anything were damn nice looking. and had that unique look that only the designer YASUSHI NIRASAWA could give it (how to describe his stuff.... lets say he can put a cute face on an alien/fetished out body with massive human naked tits sticking out. Needless to say he can draw monsters as well. He can draw tits and monsters. God Bless him).
This was about 8-9 years ago and Satan was a regular release in the second series of Devilman: More Than Demon line. But this Satan here was a limited release gold version (as opposed to the translucent blue one). Officially it's called HEAVENS'S AGE GOLD SATAN 666.
I get very nostalgic just talking about it. Enjoy the pix.
Ok ok, this statue's pose is actually from a pretty well known image in the multi-award winning manga BERSERK by Kentaro Miura but I couldn't think of a romantic-ish title for this post (that's the other guys style). This is actually the exclusive bloody version that comes with the coin. If your wondering where the coin is in the gallery, we forgot it but as soon as we get back from Otakon (no autograph requests please) we'll add it to the gallery.
So for the moment enjoy Guts here in his bloody glory.
Our very own BlackJackie999 will be the official Yoko at the Bandai booth at this weekend's Otakon in Baltimore!! For those who don't know Otakon is the largest Anime Convention in the east coast and it's just annoyingly huge and filled with.... fandom (take that as you will).
Regardless it's a great honor and a big deal for Blackjackie! So go up and say hi (and for those who don't know who Yoko is this is her).
And here we are!
First up is the legendary, iconic, mysterious Captain Harlock. Known for mostly looking cool and giving speeches on what a boy must do in his life to be a MAN (he and Kenshiro should get together and pen a tome of MAN or something) this is actually a 2.0 Captain Harlock medicom. The first one came out years ago (and I mean years) and at one time fetched 800 bucks on the secondary market. Yep believe it. This Leiji Matsumoto creation is something I can blab about forever but I won't. I will say that this looks 100% fantastic in every single detail. If you have a pair of balls and call yourself a man you must get this (too much?).
And now we have Kamen Rider Black RX. Ok, this is a mixed bag for some. Yes he's cool and he's got a light saber (and multiple forms and a car. You can tell this was in the 80's when the Japanese economy was kicking ass because Black RX had every weapon and vehicle you can think of). Some really dug the series and some didn't. After all this was the sequel to Black but it might as well have been a different timeline. It's a mixed bag but cool regardless.
This is the Dark Knight version of the suit from the movie The Dark Knight. Looks great, looks awesome. Another great outfit by Medicom.
If I were August Ragone I'd rattle off tons of shit about Ultraman Leo. Sadly I ain't August Ragone but you don't have to be to fully appreciate how nice Leo looks. I admit I was never into the Ultra stuff but they do look great together on a shelf. :)
And here's mister Space pimp himself Mr. Han Solo. Looks nice, looks great. Am I going to buy it? NO. I already have my Return of the Jedi Vader so I'm happy for life. But since this is the year of Harrison Ford 1/6 I guess one more can't hurt and he looks really, really nice.
I know what you are thinking. "What's up with posting the limited Medi's first?" Simple question easy answer; there are only three limited Medi's while the regular releases are five hence I can't pop it out as fast as I can this one.
So lets move on.
Well finally some more pics (tiny as they are) of the Summer Wonderfest Kenshiro from Hokuto No Ken. This year Japan has been celebrating the 25 anniversary of this legendary series and this Kenshiro harkens back to the look of the old show with the red shirt underneath the jacket (although he didn't start off with the boots, he wore shoes. Those boots came later.... yeah yeah nerd alert. Or I could just be seeing things and that "red shirt" is just a shadow).
All I can say is hell yeah and I'm like getting five (I really don't need a new suit).
Next up is the queen of the fighting game genre. This is Chun Li (duh) and she can add a Medicom to her enormous list of items devoted to her. She's the merchandise queen and well she'll look great on this site.
Next up is Kohei Jinnai from Crows X Worst. I wish I can tell you other than the obvious that this is a GLAM store exclusive. Tell you things like how awesome he is. Unfortunatly goddamnit I can't read Japanese and Tendou is at SDCC living it up with all the hot west coast bitches (no not really).
For those wondering what this step forward is I'm talking about getting more exposure here in the U.S. While I could just sit back and chill and beam with pride that we got 1.3 million hits last month (yeah I'm giddy about it) but I want to expand our outreach. So I made a HenshinHobby.com FACEBOOK page. I put it in the links section along with a bliptv henshinhobby.com channel containing the toy video galleries I made for the site.
I upload images of stuff that's here and stuff that isn't on the blog to. Also you, the reader can post images of your collectibles to!
So please check it out, enjoy and have fun!
(Oh and yeah expect a myspace up in the links section soon. Just gotta give it a quick makeover).
Pretty much everything that needed to be said about this was said in the title. It's amazing how the Watchmen trailer that came out today filled me glee and high expectations while just hearing about the Dragonball trailer fills me with dread and limbo low expectations.
Anyway bask in the glory of the cosplayer below being Goku.
It is so insane that one of the oldest galleries that we shot is still getting hits... and this was BEFORE we decided to become Henshinhobby and was still doing the Hokutonokentoy.com site.
For those who don't know what I'm talking about, I'm referring to the Cammy SF Zero 3 PVC statue from Kaiyodo (a gallery shot before the statue was released by Diamond).
To think we shot this thing like three camera's ago (Camera phones are better than the old Olympus we used).
Now in that Cammy tradition I bring you this one here... Hopefully you'll dig this beauty as much as some of you did the first one.
But not yet. We're so busy here as the crack staff at Henshinhobby.com try to balance the rigors of work and... work (exciting isn't it).
Below is a little comparison between the classic Kenshiro vinyl from Bandai circa 1985 and the recent Kenshiro released by those talented Medicom guys in Japan.
Expect this and gallery and others soon enough (the Kenshiro teaser won't be up until the gallery is mostly shot) but for now enjoy the clash of past and present.
Seriously it must suck to be Guts. Not sometimes, not most of the time but it must suck all the time. Jeez I've never seen a main character get it so bad so frequently (and don't mention Batman or Wolverine. Both are pussies by comparison).
Expect this and more Berserk statues on this site soon enough.
Sure the real life guy is controversial; some admire him while others take issue with him but he's one dominant and important figure in Japanese history.
However this version from Kotobukiya (based from the Basara series from Capcom) is one uber badass fighter/general who has one hell of a cool look to him. He's a great PVC statue but man I wish he was a little bit bigger in size (which keeps to the Koto rule of thumb of bigger statue for female characters, which is a plus but for male characters they tend to be smaller which does suck if you like to have some from the same series in the same scale... but we've been through that).
Anyway enjoy this gallery folks!
FROM NEWSARAMA.COM
Unfortunately it's with great sadness that I must inform everyone that Michael Turner tragically passed away last night, June 27th at approximately 10:42 pm in Santa Monica, Ca. Turner had been dealing with recent health complications arisen in the past few weeks. More details concerning Turner's passing, and services, will be given shortly.
Anyone wishing to send their condolences to Michael Turner's family is encouraged to send to:
Aspen MLT, Inc.
C/O Michael Turner
5855 Green Valley Circle, Suite 111
Culver City, CA, 90230
Aspen also encourages anyone wishing to make a charitable donation to please send to Michael Turner's requested charities:
The American Cancer Society
Or
The Make-A-Wish Foundation
Turner was diagnosed with chondrosarcoma (a bone-based cancer that attacks the cartilage) in March of 2000, which ultimately cost him his right hip, a portion of his pelvis and several pounds of bone. Turner was very open about his cancer, making convention appearances throughout the entire time, and never giving in to the illness.
Mike got his major break in comics at Top Cow, where he made his name as the artist on Witchblade with a look that was reminiscent of studio founder Marc Silvestri, but was all his own. His work was highly in demand throughout his career, and he was a frequent cover artist for a diverse number of series over the years. Turner’s style influenced many artists in the new millennium, probably more than Turner himself ever realized.
Turner’s creator-owned Fathom debuted in 1998, and in 2002, he left Top Cow to found his own Aspen MLT, Inc. where he saw Fathom resurface, along with other projects such as Soulfire and Ekos. Turner had done a significant portion of work at DC early in the decade, providing covers for Identity Crisis and Flash, as well as for the “Godfall” arc in the Superman titles (which he co-wrote), and the interior art for “Supergirl from Krypton” in Superman/Batman, where he and writer Jeph Loeb re-introduced Supergirl into the modern DC Universe. More recently, he had been providing variant covers for Marvel titles, such as next month’s Uncanny X-Men #500. At his most recent convention appearances, both Turner, and later Aspen representatives spoke of how the artist was eager to complete his obligations to other companies, so he could finally get back to work on his own projects at Aspen.
Despite his illness, Turner was one of the most upbeat people at conventions and in the industry. He always radiated a sense of humility and gratitude to his fans, and always had time for a quick chat or a smile. In an industry that can and has beat the happiness out of many creators, Mike was resistant to it, and was ever happy to work and talk to his fans, and even talk to the press. From the first moment you met him, you were his friend, and he treated you like he'd known you all his life.
Since his initial diagnosis in 2000, Turner had several ups and downs, but, surely thanks in part to his positive attitude, he was seen as the guy who was going to beat it, and be drawing for years to come - he just had to kick this thing first. Mike was 37.
Said I'd talk about the limited releases and so here I am.
First up is Shadowmoon and you have to send off mail away info that comes with the Kamen Rider Black Medicom. Needless to say this bit of news is what excited me the most. Next we have an olive suit version of Snake from Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. I doubt this will be the last Snake we get from that game. To wrap up this post we have Kouichi Haruyama from CROWS X WORSE and Father of Ultra.
So here we are with some more info on SOME of the Medicom's that were shown in the Medicom Toy Exhibition 2008.
Here we have a Batman Begins suit V2 that appears in The Dark Knight, the Heath Ledger Joker again from The Dark Knight, Piccolo from Dragaon Ball Z and The Nega form of Kamen Rider Den Oh. All the appropriate info is on the images themselves.
Next up, the limited Medi's.
Hey it's True.
Anyway here is one we just did of a one-sixth Rei Ayanami and it's one of the nicest ones I've seen. Rei gets all the good stuff even after all these years. She always gets nice merchandise and this one is no exception and I like this statue a lot. Yeah there have been plenty of nice ones in the past but there is no such thing as too many nice Rei statues (same goes for Chun Li and Mai Shiranui).
So without further ado please enjoy the gallery!
NOW we're talking about HUGE news!
I don't know where to begin so before I go on I'll give credit to newsvisualmedia.com/HK for their pix.
These are pix from the Medicom Toy Exhibition 2008 and let’s just go down the list of what we see…
We see Shadowmoon from Kamen Rider Black for the very first time as he’s standing next to Kamen Rider Black AND Kamen Rider Black RX. Needless to say they look vicious and I must get them.
We then see unpainted prototype parts for a new Kamen Rider Stronger RAH 220. Not much to really say as there is no finished product but the pick confirms that they are making one.
Next up we have a contingent of Kamen Rider Den-oh characters. We see a closer image of Momotaros (that’s the red demon looking guy with the cup who also happens to be the most popular guy in the series), the PLAT form of Den-Oh (the plain white one) and the Nega Den-Oh Form .
Next up we have a couple of Ultramen. We have Ultraman Leo (the one with the smaller horns) and Father of Ultra (YES)!
Next we have the Toriyama character section. We Son Goku along with an incredible Piccolo and a VCD of Son Gohan (Freeza Saga version). Then we have Arale and Obotchaman from Dr. Slump.
After that we have The Dark Knight one-sixth. We see Bruce Wayne, Batman and the Joker. Joker’s head looks amazing. I like the Hot Toys clothes more but I like the head of this one better. Gotta get both I guess.
On the Star Wars front we have an Episode III Anakin Skywalker and a classic Episode IV Han Solo. Han looks great… easily the best looking Han I’ve seen, great proportions. There are some clone troopers and some kubrick’s and a VCD or two. Big news obviously is the Ani and Han one-sixth.
Next we have two incredible one-sixth from the CROWS : Z.E.R.O movie as the two rivals Serizawa (the dude with the flowered shirt) and Genji are well represented here. I actually feel like watching the movie again. Next to them are several other Crows characters from the manga. It’s worth mentioning that the dude in the green trench is KOUICHI HARUYAMA and he’s a fan favorite. The TFOA guy you see with the big curl is Shogo Nurata. Next to Shogo is Tesho who is also a TFOA (which stands the Front of Armament).
After that we have the Hokuto No Ken (Fist of the North Star) lot. Big thing in this shot is that we get to see a Jagi one-sixth (the one with the helmet). Now that I think about it this is the first posable Jagi character figure in ten years (I think the last one was from the Kaiyodo 199x line). The Kenshiro in the middle is a darker blued version of the first of the first release of the Kenshiro figure. It looks like it’s based from the current movie series. We can’t see the other shoulder pad so we don’t know exactly which version it is. It could be the Wonderfest one but it’s hard to confirm by the image here.
Next we have the iconic Captain Harlock. This is the second release of Captain Harlock from Medicom but the first one was released about a decade ago. Needless to say he crazy awesome and one could only hope that this means that Medicom will go back and re-do the previous releases like Ashitano Joe and Black Jack in an updated DX form.
Next up is JoJo’s Bizzare Adventure Part Seven: Steel Ball Run. Gyro Zepelli is one of the two main characters (the more popular one). Hopefully this means Johnny Joestar and other JoJo characters from other storylines are next. We all saw JoJo one-sixth coming rvrt since the WF Bao was released.
Next up we have Chun Li from Street Fighter. What sticks out here the most is that she has the muscle thigh action thing going on and she looks like she’s from Street Fighter III: Third Strike. Also it’s great to see a new posable female body from Medicom. Maybe they’ll release a Street Fighter Zero one where she’s wearing the tights to. Can’t get enough Chun Li!
We have a new Snake from Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots. This shouldn’t be a surprise since the first Medicom Snake had several releases. And I’m pretty sure that won’t be the last Snake released either.
Next up we have Sweeny Todd…. Moving on…
And Finally Indiana Jones gets another figure in the Medicom Library as we have a great representation of the late River Phoenix as a young Indiana Jones from my favorite movie in the series, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade.
Whew.
You know when I made this little teaser I must have subconsciously yearned for some 80's teen sex romp because upon further review this looks like a teaser for Porky's 4: The Quickening (if only). But if you know your PVC cooter shots then you can tell this is Yoko from Gurren Lagann.
Honest.
She's a red head and really that's all you need to know (I call it the M.J. rule). Expect her on this site soon... seriously.
What is Jigoku Shôjo? Who is Jigoku Shôjo?
In all honesty I sorta know but not really. Sometimes I arrive at Henshinhobby HQ and I see stacks of new toys and things that Tendou recently bought or got as a free sample (honestly he gets tons. I'd have to quit my job if I were to do a gallery of EVERYTHING he gets). So this long haired goth chick with red hair looks cool.
That's cool I guess. Tendou could tell you everything about this series in any of it's incarnations (anime or live action). I on the other hand will show you the first opening of the show. And sorry for the lack of updates but I've been sick as a dog for a while (fret not true believer, it's not the consumption). We have some REALLY great galleries on the way (WATAAAAA!) so please bear with us.
Date Masamune is a name that can bring about many different emotions. Personally I'lm glad I'm not Japanese because I've seen them go back and forth on that BUT what I can say that he looks pretty damn cool. As he does in Sengoku Basara 2 (Capcom game for the PS2).
And thanks again to Kotobukiya we've got a sweet representation of Date from the Sengoku Basara 2 game. He's crazy nice I tells ya'.
Below is the Japanese PS2 opening.
Wow now THIS is a dream piece! Some item props are very expensive but are usually made of fiberglass. This one is made out of iron. Forged like the old Japanese Kabuto Helmets, that's both old school and hardcore. It also means that this 1/1 scale helmet must be one heavy monster. For those who can't tell by looking this helmet is one of Raoh's. I can say easily it’s his most famous one.
Here is what ART OF WAR themselves have to say about the crafting of this helmet:
Using same materials and technique of Japanese traditional helmet、the item will still be appreciated 100 years later. Hand-perfected by the artisan、the shape of the Kabuto is achieved one by one from striking iron. By using real material completely for this Kabuto, ART OF WAR guarantees that this effort detail is suitable for Raoh's own personality.
I heard that Art of War (makers of the excellent Berserk statue line) were making HNK props. Two things came to mind when I heard that.
1) Wow that's awesome!
2) Wow that's going to be expensive!
Right on both counts. I respect AOW and I love what they've done with the Berserk license and for years I always dreamt about what they would do with the Hokuto No Ken Licsense. I was hoping for statues but I got a one of a kind Raoh Ken-oh Helmet. I can live with that.
This incredibly awesome item is 450,000 YEN which is about 4,242.88 USD and it's limited to 30 pieces..
Some of these images have been floating around but I was waiting for Medicom to put them up on their own site and now that they have we can talk about 'em!
First up is a flop. A flop that only an idiot could not see coming and that's Speed Racer and this month Medicom offers RAH #413 the mysterious Racer X. He goes for 17,640 YEN (167.17 USD) and will hit the streets on November 2008.
Next is the disappointment (movie wise) is Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. This Medicom is limited to and 2008 pieces, RAH #400. From the looks of it it's obviously the older Indy from the fourth movie. His yen is 17,640 YEN (167.17 USD).
You also will be able to buy him from indianajones.com. It's not on that site yet but soon will be. He will also hit the streets November of this year.
Almost everything I said about Indy above can be used for Mutt Williams except he's not limited to anything and he’s RAH #411.
And rounding it this update is RAH #412, Sweeney Todd. He goes for 17,640 YEN (167.17 USD) and will also be released this Novmeber.
I'm just guessing really. Black Jackie knows more than I who this guy is.
This is another Togainu no Chi Soft Vinyl figure from Kotobukiya. This one here is Akira who by looking at his eyes looks perfectly sane to me (that or he hasn't recovered from that Zeebra video I posted last week).
Anyway expect this to be posted up soon.
So here I am checking the stats for the site and I talk to Tendou about where hits are coming from, what popular pages we have and all that. To no ones surprise most of our hits from Hong Kong (which is huge for us as that’s practically toy capital of the world), Brazil, South East Asia... but only ok in Japan.
TENDOU: Hey, didn't we get tons of hits from the Jay Chou video you posted?
ME: Yeah and?
TENDOU: Oh Man, Post Up Some Zeebra!
ME: F**k no. I don't even like hip-hop. Think of something else.
TENDOU: Oh come on man! It's Zeebra. We need to reach the contemporary Japanese audience!!
*****after much bitching back and forth*****
ME: Fine I'll post a goddman Zeebra video but I chose the goddamn video because I'm the goddamn Gatack.
So since this is Tendou's most favorite music ever ever ever (oh he'll love reading that). Other than to whore out my post to get more Japanese viewers I chose this video because of its BLATANT use of SNICKERS in the video. No it's not a commercial. It’s an honest to god music video. It's hard not to laugh each time I see a Snickers in that video but apparently eating a Snickers can make you look cool and probably hook you up with someone hot.
Man those Japanese can improve on almost everything.
Sorry.
There isn't going to be a Gallery of the Sideshow Premium Format Bruce Lee. The images are out and well I've got better things to spend money on.
Really, who here is surprised? Honestly who thought this was going to be great? In a scale of 1/10 it's a six. I was expecting a seven maybe eight from Sideshow but it's actually lower than my expectation (it's a shame Bruce Lee isn't some fictional Marvel character because I guarantee you they would have gotten him right then).
As it is now it doesn't look much like him. It doesn't look like Dragon Lee or Bruce Li or any other Bruce Clone I can think of either (FYI - it's all about Dragon Lee in clone department. Bruce Li is the Tom Welling of the Bruce Lee clone community. Looks great but stiff and boring as hell).
You're better off buying an ENTERBAY Bruce or if you're on a budget getting the MEDICOM Bruce (which is a damn great 1/6). Save your money.
Here are two high res images of the Sideshow Bruce Premium Format. I cropped out the body to just show you the head because if the head doesn't look good then the rest is doesn't really matter now does it?
My feelings for the upcoming Live Action Dragonball movie are well documented. Lets just say I don't like it. But since this movie is still going foward more and more images are coming out. Linked to the image below are bigger scans from the Roadshow magazine. You'll see clear shots of what Bulma and Yamcha others look like. Of course there is the man, Chow Yun Fat. Who is the best thing this movie has to offer.
Anyway get ready for a chosen gwai lo to save the universe (again).
Don't see those around too often do we? Who is this? This is AKIHIKO SANADA from SHIN MEGAMI TENSEI. Sure he's 1/10 scale and isn't in scale with the Aegis and the Mitsuru but what can you do?
I'll tell you what you can do! You can email fanquestions@kotous.com and tell them (nicely) that you'd like them in the same 1/7 scale!
Back to Akihiko, expect this Koto gallery to be up soon. But enjoy the teaser (as much as you can) and watch the video below about him. Yeah it's a spoiler so don't say I didn't warn you.
Sorry guys. I was pumped for a second. I thought we had a Shiki statue from Samurai Spirits. I was pumped because she's hot you see. But this is a different Shiki from Togainu no Chi. This is a cool Chibi vinyl and all that. Honestly I don't know much about him other then he's into... odd things I had no idea you could do those kinds of things with a hand full of syringes... (****must remove images from brain*** ****must remove images from brain*** ****must remove images from brain***).
Other than the interesting images I've seen of him he seems to be pretty tough. Expect fellow Henshinhobby member Black Jackie 999 (she's the Togainu no Chi expert after all) to post this gallery up sometime soon.
Sometimes a concept is just too good. Sometimes crossovers fail us and leave us with empty wallets and empty hearts. However this... THIS could be the movie that re-invigorates the ALIEN franchise.
Too bad they’ll never make it.
Only in my dreams would Takeshi Miike direct a movie like this. And it would rock. Hard.
Lelouch Lamperouge is for sure someone who can ace any test that's in front of him. Although when it comes to physical activities he's not what I'd call a natural athlete. He's not really athletic and that came into play when this gallery was shot. While he does come with a gun he's not Tequila from Hard Boiled. He's not going to do anything fancy and we like to do our galleries that fit the character's personality (you're not going to see Bruce Lee pull off some Jet Li moves in our galleries).
This Lelouch Figma action figure is awesome. I've really been impressed with this line and I can only hope Max Factory does more characters from Code Geass. Hell there are plenty of characters they could do and I'd probably buy all of them.
Hey you look at that logo and tell me you weren't thinking Mortal Kombat. Anyway, looks like Sideshow will do a Premium Format of the legendary Bruce Lee.
Funny story about that.
Last year at SDCC I noticed that Sideshow put the Medicom Bruce Lee on display which caught my interest. After all, I had just posted my review of the Medicom Bruce a few weeks before so naturally I was curious. I went to a rep and asked him about it.
He had no idea what I was talking about.
All of a sudden the Bruce Medicom wasn't on display. He had no idea there was a Bruce there. I asked him where it was and he had no idea. As far as he was concerned he had (say it with me) no idea it was even put out (which I'm sure is the case as it's always Medicom or Hot Toys who set the non-SST items up at a show and not the SST staff). Anyway he said he didn't know about a 1/6 Bruce but did mention a PF Bruce. He had that look of "crap, I shouldn't have said that" on his face and I asked him point blank about it and he was mum really fast from that point on.
So I knew there was a PF Bruce coming down the pike from SST for a while now but no ones seen or heard anything about it. But finally last night there was a teaser of a PF Bruce. The first thing that came to mind other than Mortal Kombat (and a Shaw Brothers poster) is Arnie Kim. Honestly in this day and age it's hard to NOT think of him when it comes to sculptured Bruce's. He is the definitive Bruce Lee sculptor.
Whatever Sideshow has in mind I hope they aim high and get their best guy/people on this because ENTERBAY has set the Bruce Lee bar absurdly high.
Maybe a bit too buff. I don't know. I dug the Gouki and the Ryu Premium Formats but Balrog (as he's called in Japan) is ok. I think Balrog here is based off the Jo Chen painting of him. I think he's a bit too buff and ripped to be honest.
He Kinda looks like the 2002 version of He-Man went to Spain got a poor man's Crying Freeman Tattoo. Regardless it does look nice and impressive but I think he's a bit too buff and has too many hard facial features. He's too damn manly looking.
Maybe this will be on the site, I don't know. But two versions of it are up right now on Sideshow. The exclusive one has "Interchangeable head and right hand for alternate unmasked display!" while the standard one doesn't. The good one, I mean the exclusive one goes for $274.99 and the non-exclusive one goes for $249.99.
Click the image below to check it out and pre-order.
Nothing worse than a chick with big feet and thick ankles. That's not hot. Ever. Normally with most teasers on this site it's pretty obvious who or what the character is but I'm in my perfume ad phase I guess and well it works for me.
Who is she? Well she's an attractive high school student who is also one incredible pilot. Hint? Ok fine. She just had a nude scene this past Saturday on Cartoon Network (which was blurred. Adult Swim my nuts).
Anyway expect her and certain other cast members of her show to be on this site.
I don't know why the teaser pic ended up looking like a men’s cologne ad but I'll take it. All I need is some kind of Udo Kier accent when I say "Frayyy-graaaance for Men" to make it sound really sexy... in German.
Anyway now that Cartoon Network has been showing Code Geass for about three weeks now I've noticed more traffic on the older Code Geass galleries.
Good. Because we've got more Code Geass items waiting to hit the site.
While seeing Speed Racer crash and burn made my heart sing with glorious I-told-you-so glee (and for those waiting for it to do well in Japan... It's not. People in Japan don't give a crap about Speed Racer. Hope that wasn't too subtle of a message) I'm quickly brought back down to earth as I see this ad.
This ad is from today's Shonen Jump #24. As you can see it looks like complete and total garbage. I expect zero out of this movie as just by the looks of it, it looks like a bad cosplay group at some crappy mid-level anime convention (you know the ones; with fat Ryu’s, unattractive chicks wearing skimpy clothes hoping to divert attention from their face to their tits. You mean you've never been?!).
Regardless this movie will suck. I know it, you know it, the dog knows it. Hell I’m pretty sure Chow Yun Fat knows it and he’s in the damn thing.

Here we have my favorite Macross story. Macross Plus knocked me on my ass the moment I saw it. That series was beautiful, stunning and formidable. I saw it as a movie first and to this day it has influenced the way I edit and produce videos for the site (and for my job). Sure, I have influences from other things (ideas that I do take liberally) but in the end I always go back to whether it's "Macross Plus" good.
Maybe one day the anime gods will give us a blu-ray version of this.
Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li is poised to make an enormous splash in movie theat.... heh heh heh... sorry. It's not going to do a goddamn thing in theaters. Who are we kidding? You know it, I know it, even our site mascot Henshin Dog knows it.
Sure, this movie could really improve on the 1994 Van Damme opus of cheese and horrifically accented one liners and the beautifully hysterical performance of the late Raul Julia (via con Dios) but why bother?
The first image is of Moon Bloodgood as Det. Maya Suneeand, a new character in the new SF Universe. Below that is Robin Shou as Gen. Always good to see Robin Shou even if he's doing stuff like this (hey any guy who shares screen time with Donnie Yen gets my respect). And random thought; I always wondered who would win in a battle royal; Robin Shou, Mark Dacascos, Jeff Speakmen, Gary Daniels or that skinny kid from Gymkata. Truly I have agonized over such things.

Hell yeah! Episode five of the new season of Code Geass recently aired in Japan and needless to say it kicks ass. It kicks so much ass that I decided to post this gallery up of C.C. right now without a teaser. Yeah you heard me. No teaser just pantie... er just the gallery.
Anyway, enjoy the awesomeness that is C.C.
(Honestly after this gallery I feel that our motto should be, "We’re Henshinhobby. We don't shy away from panty shots." Works for me.)
In 1994 Macross 7 struck a cord with audiences. It's an incredible series but sadly was never released here. Unlike Macross and Macross Plus, Macross 7 hasn't made it's way here and probably never will (which is probably a good thing as the last thing I need is a miscast main character seiyu). But that doesn't mean I can't tell you about how great this series is.
When you think of Macross 7 and you immediately think of music. CD's, concerts -all that are big part of this series (and as we all know music is a huge part of Macross in general). The music is awesome as is the show itself (and the live concert stuff is fantastic. The audience is so into it, it sends chills up your spine). It's a shame really some won't ever be able to see it but trust me, it's worth the search.
I highly suggest watching this series. It's incredible, it's fantastic and odds are we're going to have a crap load of items from that show on this site. What show? MACROSS FRONTIER. There are only four episodes out now so it's not too late to get caught up.
Go watch it and spread the word because this show is amazing.
Check out the opening below.

I always have to tip my hat to Japanese companies for coming up with creative names for their items. Instead of bikini version they call it "Candy" bikini swimsuit version. I can't help but get a laugh from it.
I doubt we'll see a DC Direct "Candy" Bikini Power Girl statue (but man would it sell, you know it) but thank god companies like Kotobukiya are tagging on provocative words to their boxes. This red head here is again Shana from Shakugan no SHANA (this is her third gallery on the site I believe).
I dedicate this gallery to this socially awkward fanboy I met in New York who wouldn't shut is pie-hole about Shana Season 2.
Enjoy!
While my feelings for the Kamen Rider Den-Oh series is pretty well known I can say that we're getting a release of Momotaros. He was my favorite character in the series and I'm sure I'm not alone in that regard (far from it actually).
Expect him to hit the streets of Japan in October of this year and goes for 17,640 YEN which converts to 170.49 USD (yay economy).
And below is the mail order release Plat Form of Den Oh. His retail is 17,640 (170.49 USD) and won't be out until February of 2009. Yep boys and girls 2009. I wish they did Ryotaro but oh well.
While Den-Oh wasn't my favorite RIDER series by any stretch I gotta say that after the show went off the air times were very lean for hero.
Working kids parties to pay the bills is pretty sad. Kinda reminds me of Ghostbusters 2. Oh well at least he's not cutting the ribbons at a new ramen house in Shinjuku. Then again kids parties are a hell in and of themselves. Poor guy.
Well here are a couple of new items MEDICOM has shown us today. First and foremost the seeing the imperial royal guard finally making it's way to the RAH line is a great sign. Sign for what? Sign they'll do the Emperor (you know, the greatest character to come out the entire saga) that's what! Looks fairly sweet but we're not being shown his whole uniform at the moment. I don't doubt it will be great but there is no visual yet. However from the pic he does come with his force pike.
Expect him to hit the streets of Japan in October of this year and goes for 17,640 YEN which converts to 170.49 USD (yay economy).
Next up we have a Speed Racer medicom. This nostalgia infused protagnonist is now an RAH. If you've read this blog before then you know I could care less so the less said the better. He goes for 17,640 YEN (170.49 USD) and will be out as the same time the Royal Guard (I.E. October).
Well I'm glad this gallery is up. Kotobukiya has gotten a lot of praise over this statue and deservedly so. It's the best representation of Dante ever created. So much so even Capcom echoed those same sentiments. Honestly it's a beauty and I hope you agree.
This gallery was fun to work on and I can't wait until the next DMC PVC statue that Koto does. Who knows, I might be inclined to do a video gallery of them all. Well, lets not get ahead of ourselves.
Until next time enjoy the gallery.

And no I'm no talking about those losers Mephisto, Malebolgia or Neron. All are crap compared to Kasumi Kenshiro.
No, not the Kenshiro from HOKUTO NO KEN (that's FIST OF THE NORTH STAR for the uninitiated). He's Kenshiro's "uncle" from the kick ass prequel SOUTEN NO KEN (known to westerners as FIST OF THE BLUE SKY). While I fully expect to see figures at some point Iin the near future (I'm hoping for Kaiyodo) I think this is the first big money collectible for the series that I can think of. What I'm talking about is this 1/6 scale statue from Nodaya who are no strangers to the Hokuto No Ken universe (having done Kenhiro, Rei, Jyuza and Souther over the years).
It's 31,290 YEN which converts to 305.12 USD. This is a must get for me and I fully expect this beauty to be on the site. No release date as of the moment but I'm pretty sure since this is a Nodaya release we can expect a few repaints to come out if.
Seriously, Skynet? Not Medicom or Hot Toys or even Takara - F'n SKYNET is doing it. Wow. I didn't even think they where around anymore. I do have a couple of their dolls already. I have the Golgo 13 and the old Kenshiro (the Real Japanese Hero's line) and while they were cool (The Medicom stuff back then was better) at the time they by no means compare to what's out there now. That horrid old body makes the Sideshow Art S. Buck body look like a milestone by comparison (I think they used the old Hall of Fame body).
Now I guess SKYNET will be giving us a 1/6 Motoko Kusanagi and Batou from the famous series GHOST IN THE SHELL: STAND ALONE COMPLEX. In all honestly they better impress because they aren't cheap as both retail for 15,540 YEN each (151.53 USD... what a crap conversion rate). Both plan on being released July of this year. I have my doubts but we'll see product pics soon enough. The figure line art is below.
This teaser should come as no surprise as it's that white haired dude in that's featured in our banner. He's very impressive and his extensive gallery should be up any day now.
Yep.
Any day now. At any time this gallery could pop up and sneak up on you like a ninja... BAM! What's that? Is that the Dante Gallery? Nope. Not yet but soon padawans.
After the big screen anime to live action rumblings of Dragonball, AKIRA, Ninja Scroll to even crappy shows like Speed Racer (its crap admit it. The only reason people in the states dig it is because of that goddamn theme song) it's not hard to see why studios keep making these. After all, the anime medium has tons of genres that are vastly unique to western audiences. While we bitch at tired remakes at least Hollywood is going after newer game.
Variety tells us that now Steven Spielberg has landed the rights to Masamune Shirow's "GHOST IN THE SHELL".
While normally I do cringe at anime turn live action I don't feel too skeptical about this. Spielberg being attached to this does mean that it will be taken seriously and not half-assed in anyway. I'm curious to see the approach he'll take on this. The current Stand Alone Complex era type of police story telling is the one DreamWorks is going to focus on which great because I don't think the mass U.S. audiences can sit through the beautiful yet in the weeds future tech talk that tends to bleed through Masamune Shirow's work (where entire manga chapters can be about the complexities of a brake clutch and its relation to humanity).
Still I don’t want the property to be dumbed down as Spielberg tends to think mainstream audience first (which is a perfectly reasonable thing to think of. Realistically the amount of money that’s going to be poured into this project is going to need that mainstream money to make a profit). Add to the fact that this movie will be in 3D. That could be incredible if pulled off correctly.
Normally I would say something like, "GOD HATES US and this is why" but the license could really be in worse hands.
I just hope the casting isn't too terrible because that’s when the hair pulling starts (ten bucks say an Asian isn't playing Motoko Kusangi. 20 bucks on them changing her name entirely).
"Oh Yeah, High Dream."
That's what came to mind actually when I saw an email from them in my inbox. I don't remember the last time I got an email from them. I met one of the High Dream sculptors (a very polite Frenchman whose name totally escapes me) at Toy Fair a couple of years back and I liked what I saw from High Dream. He was very passionate about his work and his toy philosophy was similar to my own. However I wondered how long they were going to be in around. Lets face it, they were very small (and still are) and they were struggling to get orders for their merchandise like the their-then potentially great SNK vs. Capcom 2 line (which I liked more than the SOTA Street Fighter line. If you've ever seen their prototype Guile then you know what a shame it is the line didn't continue).
I've always seen their stuff here and there but I was always fond/perplexed of how hard they tried to release merchandise here. Merchandise that in all honesty would only appeal to a certain core audience (like those who would spend money on an obscure show like ULYSSES 31).
Luckily for me I fit that audience.
So when I first opened up my email I was very surprised to see some "in production" images of the ODYSSEUS spacecraft from ULYSSES 31. I do remember the show pretty vividly as it was on the Spanish channel when I was little Gatack. I do have fond memories of it. If you don't remember (or know) the Japanese/French co-produced series then odds are that you're not going to get it but for those who do, you're in for a treat.
Below are some images of the ODYSSEUS Diecast ship. When will I have it in my hands? Who knows, it might take a while for it to hit the streets (like most High Dream items) so I don't have an answer to that unfortunately (and before you comment on the ODYSSEUS I can already read your mind; YES it does bear a resemblance to the Autobot Matrix of Leadership. Or actually the Matrix bears a resemblance to the ODYSSEUS. It did come first).
And further below that is the opening to the show in Spanish. Why the Spanish version? Because I feel nostalgic at the moment. Dig it.
While I prefer the FEWTURE style, Nirasawa Devilman the most I still respect the classic incarnation that Go Nagai created 36 years ago. Kaiyodo has done Devilman in the past; in the form of action figures so they're no strangers to the license (or to the countless repaints they subjected us to) and these statues are very detailed. Outstanding sculpting through and through, which is expected by anything Kaiyodo (at least that's my thought process anyway).
What really surprised me was how small these statues are. Really, these are smaller than your standard Revoltech.
Enjoy!
I know that we're behind schedule on certain galleries but we're back on track now. For the moment here's a pic of something I've been waiting for for quite some time. It's rare that we have diecast on the site (something we plan on fixing this year) and when it's something as awesome as Kamen Rider (especially classic riders) in diecast form well then I see no reason not to take a shot of it.
Enjoy!
Yes folks, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 is almost upon us. Personally I'm very excited, as are the other members of Henshin Hobby. I admit I've gotten far behind on when it comes to shows but Code Geass grabbed me and never let go.
I also know who to blame for my slight weight gain because before I watched Code Geass I had a good streak of a couple of years that I didn't order Pizza Hut.
That streak ended because of the show.

April 6th is the day that season two will hit the airwaves and honestly the cliffhanger that we got at the end of season one was one for the ages. Hell I can't wait.
Below is one of the many promos for season two - ENJOY!!
There he is again!!!
Always making noise with that damn bike of his! Think he's so cool with that bike... that jacket with the pill on it... ARRGG!!!
Always smirkin'! Like he's afraid of NOTHING! Always fighting that fat kid with the clown make-up! Make a man want to call the cops!
Just take a look at this kid and his bike to see what I'm bitchin' about.
He is the alpha and the omega.
The begining and the end.
An eons old mutant of immense power.
He's the next Marvel Legendary scale bust.
And he looks like Mr. Sinister let one rip right in front of him (no wonder they call him Mr. Sinister). Jeez that's the most ridiculous (and by extension) hilarious face sculpt for Apocalypse I've ever seen.
Sideshow, in a very high percentage hits their Marvel products out of the park but this one looks... hell see for yourself.
I figure I'd share with you guys the skinny on what's being clicked on the most on this site. So without further ado here are the pages you, my peeps, are clicking,
These are in order btw.
MEGAHOUSE SIMCA
ENTERBAY GAME OF DEATH BRUCE LEE
MEGAHOUSE HANAKO
MEDICOM REI AYANAMI
MEDICOM KAMEN RIDER - THE FIRST
KOTOBUKIYA NINJA GAIDEN RACHEL
MEGAHOUSE RINGO
MEDICOM ENTER THE DRAGON BRUCE LEE
SQUARE ENIX CLOUD MASTER ARTS
MEGAHOUSE MIZUKI
GRIFFON RYOFU HOUSEN
So to summarize, the big hits on this site are legendary Asians, masked hero's and big tits. I can live with that and also we DO plan on re-taking the MIZUKI gallery.
Odds are she'd look like this. Well Hopefully anyway. Then again she's a fictional character (sorry guys) so odds are artists can make her look as hot as they want to. I think it's called "artistic license".
Which is great because if she were hideous she sure as hell wouldn't be on this site but fortunately for us she is. Speaking of artists, I'm sure you can tell by the look of it who sculpted Rei. I'm sure you can figure it out. Regardless of whether you can figure it out or not, please enjoy this gallery!
So this isn't really new news for those who look at import items but this is the first ad we've seen of The Kamen Rider Black Medicom. And in the ad he's doing his trademark pose. Man I am literally jumping up and down as this piece is a long time coming. I've been waiting for this DX release for years. Years.
It should also be noted that Shadow Moon is the mail away. Just thought you'd might want to know that. Some might find that bit of news... important.
What's my take? I want two of them. Let me clarify, I want two of each (who really needs a new suit, shoes a haircut... soap).
KAMEN RIDER BLACK: 17,640 YEN (177.11 USD)
Street Date: October 2008
The world simply doesn't have enough ALIEN merchandise. I've come to accept that now. Medicom hasn't done one in years so I guess it's time for them to pop out another. This one though takes us back to the first Ridley Scott ALIEN movie that started it all. This ALIEN is the obviously H.R. Giger designed one. You can tell because it looks like a huge cock from the profile (you can't miss it).
Looks great from the image but I think I'm still "Alien-ed out" at the moment.
Just remember, in space no one can hear you (or your wallet) scream.
ALIEN: 18,900 YEN (189.76 USD)
Street Date: October 2008
Well this is a nice surprise!
Seems like everyone and their mom is doing Indiana Jones Merchandise. You have great companies lke Kotobukiya and Sideshow working hard to make quality Indy items and now you can add Medicom to the list.
Medicom has not one but TWO one-sixth to offer us. They have Indy with several accessories that span the first three movies (including the Holy Grail from my fav Indy Flick, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade). Looking at him I LOVE the expression, the clothing and again the Medi is great at making postures and poses look natural.
His dad, Professor Henry Jones looks great right down to the facial hair color. He comes with his brief case and his trusty umbrella. I would have liked to have seen him come with the dairy (which was so vital in Indy Three) but that's only a minor gripe.
At least from the look of the ads these look great. Which Indy toy (err... "collectible") is right for you? Who knows but I love having the option to choose.
I know which one I'll get and I WON'T choose poorly. :)
Indiana Jones: 17,640 YEN
(177.11 USD)
Street Date: August 2008
Professor Henry Jones: 17,640 YEN
(177.11 USD)
Street Date: August 2008
EDIT: This is great news and it totally makes up for that terrible Mr. Bean News we heard a couple of days ago.
Sure I could say a lot but you all know who this is already don't you?
Of course you do. Worry not young padawans. You'll get your taste of "you know who" and you'll thank us for it later.
Soon chico, very soon.
EDIT: Ok Off topic, MR. Bean?! ENTERBAY is doing Mr. Bean? No Donnie Yen, no Andy Lau, Chow Yun Fat but Mr. Bean. Seriously who can I bribe to get these guys done? That's my disappointment for the week and the week ain't even over yet (and you know I’m serious when I break out fictional words like “ain’t”).
HELL YEAH!!!
Back when there was no real US toy market worth talking about (outside of Beast Wars) Kaiyodo was literally reinventing the action figure wheel with the Hokuto No Ken line. Back then for me and others it was import toys or nothing.
Hokuto no Ken set the bar for action figures and as I've said before if there was no Hokuto No Ken there would be no Henshinhobby.com.
So now you know what to blame.
Obviously someone is or else they wouldn't be making this. What is this you ask? Why it's the Jay Chou one-sixth from Enterbay! God forbid they do a Donnie Yen one-sixth but hey what do I know, I'm just a consumer.
Here's some info on it (and I don't hate Jay Chou. Seriously the last time I posted about Jay the site got a big jump. Can't hate someone who brings THAT many hits to the site. Onto the 411...)
"2007 JVR Music International Ltd. All rights reserved.Retail Price is $ 899 HKD
This version (Version A) will be release in Hong Kong in May.Another version B (Cow Boy Version), which also release in May.
All styles are designed by Jay."
Designed by Jay?
Don't know why but that line reminds of the "you know it's safe because it's been tested on animals" bit. Anyway to further annoy my patient audience enjoy these images and of course a Jay Chou video (which apes 300 big time).
But we finally have Belldandy.here. Not that we don't have enough Belldandy in the toy stash of Henshin Hobby but we've never put this lovely icon on the site. It's been years since I first saw this on VHS and this piece gives me a certain sense of nostalgia before bills, work, stress. You know all the grown up crap we have to deal with.
Regardless I enjoyed working on the pix of this statue. Hopefully we'll put more Belldandy stuff up. Until then enjoy the gallery.
Wait wait...
Oh it's just been pushed back till April 3, 2009.
Crap. Hoping it was cancelled. Crap again.
I really don't know who's looking forward to this. The movie anime chum-line will of course bring in some people with various degrees of expectations. Mine are pretty goddamn low and I don't want to hear the typical "this movie is it's own thing". I heard that garbage before a decade ago and last time I checked Godzilla 1998 still sucked.
Ain't looking forward to this (and you know I’m serious when I break out fictional words like “ain’t”).
Doesn't sound strange to me in the least.
Hey if you live long enough you get to see some fights you'd never thought you'd see. This is one of them thanks to the people at Sideshow. I guess that teaser image doesn't really hide anything now does it?
And off topic, I really should post up an actual gallery one of these days.
Ok, I tried to do something clever with the Oh! My Goddess title but kept thinking of George Takai for some reason. Regardless of my title short comings I'm very happy to say that we'll have a Belldandy gallery up soon.
You'd think after all of this time we'd have a Belldandy PVC statue up. Seriously.
Ok we have some releases Medicoms to talk about (I know Winter Wonderfest has happened and well.... I'll get to the awesomeness of that show later).
SUPER SAIYAJIN SON GOKU isn't a standard release but a mail away (the coupon for it comes with the standard release Son Goku). It's a not the first appearance SS version, which I though thought it might be (as it fits with the regular Son Goku better but hey, whatever). Son Goes for 15,540Y (144.63 USD) and is due out 12/2008. That's along wait my friends.
Next up we have another ULTRAMAN. This is Ultraman C-Type. He goes for 13,440YEN (125.07 USD) and will hit the streets 8/2008.
Kamen Rider Time!
We have here Kamen Rider Den-Oh. I admit it, I didn't watch much of it. Not that it's bad but was turned off by different aspects of it. But since I am collecting all the Riders I can't wait to have this one on my shelf. Den-Oh goes for 19,740YEN (183.74 USD) and will hit the shelves 9/2008. Also it should be noted that this is a (duh) BM X MEDICOM release.
And finally here is Jack from LOST.
I don't watch LOST. Everybody at Henshinhobby.com watches lost. Except for me. I still don't get it. Anyway Medicom is attempting to jump into the pop culture American consciousness with this release of JACK SHEPHARD from LOST. Jack goes for 15,540 YEN (144.64 USD) and will hit the streets on 8/2008..
In manga turned movie news (deja vu) we have the Wachowski Brothers have a Jubie movie planned. Now I don't want to call this Ninja Scroll or Reborn from Hell since well, what the plot is is unknown at the moment. It could be the ones I mentioned before or something else (For all I know it could be Ninja Scroll. The name alone almost guarantees a big opening weekend) For the moment It's called Ninja Assassins and will be directed by James McTiegue (V for Vendetta) and already has Korean Pop Star RAIN signed up for it.
Cool. I like rain. Especially the way it cools your face when you walk outside. As for who the pop star named Rain is I have no clue. Seriously I don't even know the gender.* One can only hope it's Rain Rodriguez from Good Guys but I doubt it.
Anyway there is a casting sheet out there with available roles for the movie (shame, I don't see.intelligent, hot, young Latino who likes ice cream on that list. Oh well, their loss). While the thought of a CGI cobra crawling out of some demonic chicks twat sounds very appealing I'm going to take the wait and see approach to this movie.
*Oh and thanks to the power of youtube here is Rain... and it's a dude.
In manga turned movie news we have Katsuhiro Otomo's AKIRA coming it's way to the big screen thanks to Warners and Legendary Pictures (300, Superman Returns, Batman Begins) in a two picture movie deal. Hopefully they'll base it off the manga as the movie while revolutionary and captivating is condensed so much that it's hard to follow (The six books are surprisingly straightforward and anyone who says that the books aren't, simply didn't read them).
As Variety states this isn't the first time Warners have had the rights to AKIRA. I remember a long time ago James Robinson (Golden Age, Starman, Superman) was tapped to write it but nothing ever came out of it.
I'm sure it'll be good enough to not suck but AKIRA is a unique story with a very strong Japanese sensibility. To set this in the US and in "New Manhattan" sounds like a joke honestly. It's like Spielberg's idea to have Harry Potter set here in America -It's a bad idea. While Potter fans can consider themselves lucky to avoid that terrible trap Akira fans won't be so fortunate.
Considering how special effects have evolved in Japan over the years I don't see why they can't make the movie themselves.
Yes true believers you may have heard by now (or may not) that Kotobukiya has "Teamed Up" with US comic Juggernaut Marvel Entertainment for a multiyear deal that has KOTOBUKIYA producing several types of Marvel collectibles that range from their comic universe to their movie projects (maybe Kotobukiya can give us an ARTFX statue of Peter Parker acting like an out of character douche in the "I hate Mary Jane" saga, One More Day).
“We are excited to work with Kotobukiya as a premiere collectible partner, and we are confident
that their talented designers will bring a new, fresh perspective to our characters. Our comics
feature the most recognizable characters in the world, and that matches up well with Kotobukiya’s
international style and commitment to quality.” said Joe Quesada, Marvel Editor-in-Chief and Chief Mary Jane Hater.
Kotobukiya? Outstanding company. Marvel? Outstanding company. I don't doubt for a minute that KOTOBUKIYA will give us some of the best Marvel collectibles out there. And with Bowen and Sideshow out there that's saying a lot.
Expect the first two releases to be based off the movie versions of IRON MAN and THE HULK.
I'm all over that IRON MAN.
Our new banner has pretty much given away any suspense of who this is. It also doesn't help that I put his name in the subject line (and "Boring Ryu" has to be the worst online name he could have named himself. Most likely Ken set up an account for him. Yes that's a comic reference. Oh and hey cheap plug go check out UDON's Street Fighter comic. It's a video game adaption comic that doesn't suck. Buy it, read it, you'll be glad you did).
Expect Ryu on this site soon.
Sure this has taken me awhile to do and I am late by my own schedule but I'm not done yet. There are still quite a few shots I still want to get and well I don't want to rush anything. Last thing I want is a half-assed posed Superman on this blog *shudder*.
Regardless I do see at light at the end of the tunnel.
Well honestly I heard about this a while ago but took it only as rumor. Seriously Bruce Lee related projects tend to fall through the wayside on a yearly basis (my favorite Bruce Project that didn't get made was the Stephen Chow as Bruce and Donnie Yen as Yip Man flick. Although Donnie looks to be playing Yip Man after all but that's an altogether different movie).
Now this Bruce project has a who's who of TBS Superstation Stars such as Gary Daniels, Michael Jai White, Mark Dacascos and Ray Park. And that's just people I've heard of. There's a whole crap load of guys in this movie who apparently are martial artist but I've never heard of.
Seems like it does have a budget behind it so that's one thing it has going for it (it looks like a bigger budget version of that old Fist of Fury TV series from the 90's)
From what I've seen this looks ok. There is a lot of heart in this but honestly this looks off. I mean the fighting used isn't really in the spirit of Bruce at all. Just see for yourself.
To further show you how awesome Kamen Rider Black was I went through the painstaking process of putting this online. I had it on tape and cleaned it up, converted it and well after a while I put it on VEOH since VEOH is awesome. But you need to download the VEOH player to watch all 59 minutes of it. It's a free player so don't sweat it.
And why did I do this? Because you all deserve to see it.
Enjoy!!!!!
EDIT- Here is the whole thing via MEGAVIDEO. The Good thing about MEGA video is that you can DL the original file. Enjoy it and don't say I never did anything for ya.
You know how adultswim gives out little stats during their commercial breaks? I like how they share their stats with the viewers I like that type of connection with the audience (although why they want to make us suffer by still promoting Tim & Eric is beyond me).
Well someone asked me the other day if I knew what countries actually visit this site. Well me being the stats geek I am I found out. And now that I found out I figured I'd share that with you.
Well obviously since this is an English speaking site it was no shock that the English speaking USA visited our site the most (It's also a US site so that also factors into it). Mainly I was very happy at the diversity I saw. That actually makes me feel good.
Anyway here are the ten countries that check us out the most.
Well as someone who loves Kamen Rider but wasn't to enthralled with the sentai vibe Den-Oh dealt out last year I was kinda skeptical about Kamen Rider Kiva. Mainly because after each sneak image I was thinking to myself, "It's Kamen Rider Spawn!"
Still I you can't really judge many things by preview images. After I saw the first episode of KIVA (which aired in Japan yesterday morning) I was very impressed. It had the classic first episode Spider villain and a vicious Rider Kick. But above all that was how much I enjoyed watching the main character Wataru (played entertainingly by Koji Seto). He's eccentric in that odd Steve Ditko version of The Question (hard to explain but you got to see it).
Anyway below is the opening of the show. I plan on talking about it more as the series goes on. Hopefully it'll be one great year (filled with great merchandise!)
First up is Baoh. Man I had to do a double-take when I first saw him. First I instinctively thought RAOH (a forgivable mistake) then it hit me, "Oh... BAOH". I have an old VHS tape of him somewhere in the blackhole of the Gatack household (aka the basement).
Anyway he is a Winter Wonder Fest exclusive that goes for 17,640 YEN (165.35 USD) and will be released Feb. 2, 2008.
Next is something different. Not another RAH figure but two accessories. You get the Red and Yellow parts to recreate your fav Wingman scenes. Of course that means to fully enjoy the Wingman Medicom you need to have THREE Wingman 1/6. Ouch. The parts are a mail away offer and you guessed it, the coupon comes with the standard Wingman release.
One very interesting facet about the Wingman Medicom is that the production is being done under the watchful eye of creator Masakazu Katsura. If that name sounds familiar then you've probably seen his other, very famous work Video Girl Ai.
Only in Dream Warrior Wingman can you dream on becoming a super hero and actually be one. I really wouldn't mind seeing that series again. It's been awhile.
Yen is 17,640 (165.35 USD) and due out October of 2008.
Kamen Rider ZX (you know, the one from that movie where they all fought a giant robot to really bad disco. Don't remember? Good.) and he's a loaded up rider with extra hands and accessories. He goes for 17,640 YEN (165.35 USD) and is also due out October 2008.
Rounding out the update is the cult classic Ultra Q character, Kanegon. This is a sorta "gold" version where in the episode he eats money and glows/glitters a bit. He's also a winter Wonder Fest Exclusive. His yen is 13,440 (125.98 USD) and is due out Feb.24, 2008.
***whew***
Man do we have quite a few Medicom's to talk about today. First off we have Motoko Kusanagi from Ghost in the Shell (I know magazine scans of her have been out for a but I was waiting for the offical Medicom site pics to appear). More specifically it's the version from the Ghost in the Shell: Solid State Society movie (alas no trench). Motoko is due out August 2008 and goes for 17,640 Yen (165.62).
Next up is Misa Misa from ever popular Death Note. This version is for lack of a better term Prisoner Misa Misa. This crazy in love one-sixth goes for 15,540 Yen (145.92 USD) and is due out June 2008.
Next up is Ultraman Ace. He hits the streets July of 2008 and he goes for 14,490 Yen (136.05 USD)
*Oh yeah, there's also the Bruce Lee international version.Safe to say this is the same Bruce Medicom that's offered on the Sideshow site. Doll wise it's no different than the one Medicom released last March. Find out everything you need to know about the Medi Bruce HERE.
Took a while huh?
Well not a super long time but longer than I anticipated (don't expect the 2-n-1 Supes for at least a month) but I'm glad I was able to able to do a gallery of him regardless.
I wouldn't say this is one-sixth of the year as some have humorously said. Honestly with all the stiuff that's coming out this year from Medicom, Hot Toys and Enterbay it's safe to say that it won't be one-sixth of the year but for simply fulfilling a fanboy wish it definitely earns a special place on my shelf.
Enjoy the Gallery folks.
While I admit I am very busy and probably won't have the Jor El and Superman/Clark Kent galleries ready for a bit I was able to put together a video gallery featuring your favorite Kryptonian.
I hope you like it. I probably will never direct a Superman movie but I'd like to point out that like Superman Returns this video cost 200 million dollars to make. ^_'''
Enjoy!
WELL WELL WELL!!!
BIG Freaking News!!! FINALLY we've got some Street Fighter Revoltech!!! These figures are based off the Online SF game called Street Fighter Online Mouse Generation.
I can't wait for this. Since it'll be great to have SF toys that can actually pull off the signature moves from the game and make it look good! I love how Ryu can obviously kick above his head.
Anyway I can gush like crazy over my excitement over these figs. We'll post more info on these as we get them but for now enjoy the awesomeness (and below the images are a couple of screen shots of the actual game the figs are based off of).
Well Kamen Rider Den-Oh is almost at an end. Since the last episode will air this weekend I figure now would be a good time to post the promo (in English) for the new Kamen Rider show, Kamen Rider KIVA!!!
Enjoy the promo!
Big deal. I don't think anyone really expected ENTERBAY to release both ETD Bruce in December anyway. Regardless I can't wait to get my hands on them. In the meantime ENTERBAY has put up some pics of their new BL-2 Body.
This is what they've said about it;
"THE NEW BL-2 body for ENTER THE DRAGON.
Improvement applied on the Waist and the Knee to enhance the total action movement and the beauty body line. especially while wearing the tight suit like GAM EOF DEATH or the cat suit in ENTER THE DRAGON.
ENTERBAY’s body concern on "Total Styling and Body line" instead of giving so many articulation joint to improve the action movement , therefore we deisgn to give it the minimum but reasonable articulation to make all the classic pose while look great with cloths or ever nude.
Just below that is the TV series opening which I get a big time kick out of. It's also share little in common with it's manga counterpart but whatever, apples and oranges. Both are good."
Below is a teaser of some really, surprisingly small Devilman statues from Kaiyodo.Seriously I wasn't expecting these things to be so small. Crazy detail for such a small series of statues. Anyway expect their gallery to be up soon.
Just below that is the TV series opening which I get a big time kick out of. It's also share little in common with it's manga counterpart but whatever, apples and oranges. Both are good.
Gotta love Max Factory. They keep putting out quality PVC statues every month and this figure is NO exception. This is Shana from Shakugan no Shana. She's a great statue but you really don't need me to tell you that.
Enjoy the gallery folks... oh and below is the second opening of the series. Enjoy that to!
Yes folks life is good.
This is labeled as the "Directors Cut" of the first episode. Why directors cut? Well the show hasn't technically aired yet and this episode is longer than your average episode by a couple of minutes but hey, lucky us for special previews right?
Enjoy this episode everybody as this is just a taste of the awesome that is to come.

Yep it's time alright.
True I haven't paid much attention to the musician releases from Medicom. I guess it's because I'm not huge fan of the Rolling Stones. Actually I think they suck and it's sad a pathetic that Mick Jagger is 60something years old singing "Satisfaction".... something he said he'd never do.
But I digress.
But when it comes to Freddy Mercury? Yeah I'm there and I'm glad Medicom did my favorite version of him. For those who don't know him or what he sounded like just click the video below and be prepared to see what a REAL front man sounds like.
THE GODS LOVE ME!!
After updating some gut wrenching news about the upcoming Dragon Ball movie I needed something like this to make me believe in the forces of good again. Medicom has done just that by announcing that on deck for 2008 (July actually) is an RAH of Son Goku!!! This Son Goku looks to be based off the early Freeza arc (pre-Super Saiyajin).
There will be more images and a price point released within the next few days and whether or not this is a BM production of just Medicom solo effort but we'll get the answers soon enough.Just look at him, doesn't he look incredible? I still need to see more shots but man, they've nailed his look even down to the strands of hair he has sticking out.
2008 can't come fast enough!
UPDATE: Here we have a new image which is essentially an image of the ad that will run next month. The Price on him is 15,540 yen (136.25USD) and as mentioned before is due out July 2008.
At least that's what it looks like according to the trailer. This is the KUNG FU DUNK movie which was reported here before many moons ago as a live action version of the staple 90's manga SLAM DUNK. From the looks of it this has JACK to do with the manga. Not that I didn't expect it but they really went the Shaolin Soccer route with this one.
I mean goddamn it's Shaolin Soccer with Basketball. Maybe Jay Chou's hair won't fly off his head when he slam dunks *ahem*. Screw it.
"Enjoy" the trailer.
So along with most ancient deities add Chow Yun Fat to the list of people that hate me. Great. For some reason Chow Yun Fat has agreed to play Muten Roshi for James Wong's upcoming movie Dragonball: The Quickening.
Why he's in it I don't know. Every actor needs a paycheck movie so I guess this is his. Or maybe both he and Stephen Chow lost some horrible bet and are forced to be a part of this movie.
Other than being the coolest man ever to complain about people not liking his rice I think he's one of the best actors out there. But hey, you gotta get paid right? That means I have to see this movie after all (hey I sat through The Replacement Killers and that was murder).
Since this is film is being shot in Mexico I figure I'd show you the Spanish version (as opposed to the original Klingon). Why would I do this to you? To make you feel the pain I feel.
FEEL MY PAIN!!!!
I have a soft spot in my heart for Final Fantasy, more specifically Final Fantasy VII. Maybe it's pure nostalgia to a simpler time I don't know but every time I see Cloud I can't help but smile a little bit.
Now while I'm pimping just Cloud this isn't an FF VII set. This set includes several mini-characters that span several FF games (sadly no evil octopus). Rinoa, Penelo, Van & Yuna are also represented in this set and they look great (especially Yuna).
Enjoy the Gallery and thanks for looking!
This is Shana from Shakugan No Shana. Like most anime shows, things aren't always as they seem and Shana is no exception. Sure she looks like a school girl she's no pushover.
And again this gem is from Max Factory.
Below is the first opening of the series just so you can have an idea of who she is (and what the series is like).
As you know I have my doubts about this movie and Stephen Chow being attached to this project doesn't ease any of those doubts. I could go on and on about how this looks, who's playing who (or what) but whatever. I have no faith in this at all.
At least he's wearing orange. That's one minor step forward for Dragonball kind right there (not enough to make up for the billion step backwards it's taken).
Images exclusively from the Spanish language movie website HoyCinema (which means Cinema Today) have recently appeared. I don't know much about the site itself but since the movie is filming in Mexico it might be worth your time to check it out every so often.
Click the image below to go to HoyCinema.
Certain statues, action figures, dolls, diecast can speak for themselves by their sheer quality.
This is one of those times. This is Mai Shiranui from Capcom Vs. SNK 2 from the skillful artists at Max Factory (This isn't a KOF statue as some have called it).
You know who she is so I'll just leave you with a little teaser.
Singer, actor, Heavenly King - All those words can be used to describe one person. A person of class and respect. However this isn't about Andy Lau, this is about Jay Chou (hey he's cool, seriously).
ENTERBAY in conjunction with Chou are doing a one-sixth. Jay will over see the production himself (I know, you were worried weren't you).
For those of you who don't know who he is check out the vid below. He's done a lot actually (and he is talented) but there is this sick desire I have to see a Mandarin hip hop video on this site. I don't even like hip hop to be honest but it's 2:41 AM and I feel like torturing myself.
Of course I would love it if one day, I don't know... ENTERBAY broke the news that they were doing a Donnie Yen one-sixth.
Until then here's Jay Chou.
And it's exactly as I felt it would look which is a good thing. Overall these images look great and get me more and more excited about this release. It's hard to tell what exactly is different with the proposed new body. I can't tell from these images. Oh well, I guess I'll have to keep speculating on this new BL-2 body.
Visually however it's so far, so good.
Enjoy the pics below.

I'm not a huge, huge fan of Aliens and Predators. I mean I was at one time but there's so much over saturation with A&P products that quite frankly bore the hell out of me. I mean I LOVE the FEWTURE ALIEN stuff but that was during a time when there wasn't that much stuff out there ALIEN wise. Years later I think nothing has equaled the coolness of the FEWTURE Alien products. But overall my excitement was in an all time low.
That crappy Paul W.S. Anderson AVP movie didn't help matters as it removed the balls from both franchise. I don't know how an experienced director can make an AVP movie that both comical and terrible but he succeeded. There's a special circle in hell just for him.
Still this new movie AVP2: REQUIM looks good. Hell it looks VERY good. Looks like the balls have been stapled back on the franchise (harsh image I know but work with me). So far everything I’ve seen looks ballsy and violent. Outside of money, violence is the international language and this movie is speaking my language. Check out the Japanese trailers below (follow the link) and enjoy the poster below.
JAPANESE TRAILERS -

This is El with Reideen. I can see how this can be misleading but this has nothing to do with a Super Robot of the same name. However this beauty can be the center of attention anytime!
This is an original character coming from the sculpting gods at Kaiyodo who constantly put out grade A stuff.
Enjoy the gallery folks!
Street Fighter IV is about seven months away which feels like an eternity. In October a teaser trailer was released and now we have our first screenshot of the game. According to 1up the gameplay is strictly 2D. We don't have a full roster of characters but that question will be answered in time (although it is fun to speculate).
Check out the first official screenshot of Street Fighter IV below!!
I'm not a huge fan of angst myself but I do have strong, strong nostalgia for this game. Back to a time when PS one ruled the world and I was living off pizza. Good times. Expect to see this Cloud and his buddies on this blog soon.
Now that I think about it I haven't seen "Knights of the Round" in years. Good thing we have youtube. And just like that the vid is right below. Oh yeah I should mention that it's a long one so let it load. ^_-
Huge, huge news coming straight from the REVOLTECH Expo happening right now!

Works for me.
This is Meiya Mitsurugi from the Japanese game Muv Luv Alternative (part of the Muv Luv series). This very nicely detailed PVC statue (1/8) is brought to you by the good people at Good Smile Company.
We'd also like to thank the guys at Image Anime for giving us the sample (go check out their new store in NY when you have a chance).
And as always please enjoy the gallery below!
To absolutely no ones shock these look incredible. The images do show you what facial expressions both Bruce one-sixth will come with so besides looking awesome the images are also infromative. These babies should be out within six weeks so count those pennies or start making budget cuts (your friends and family don't really need all those gifts do they?)
Of course just like the images say, the final products could differ from the ones shown.
Doesn't mean I can't get a little excited tho'.
Far from it!
A new BOUYA HARUMICHI one-sixth is on it's way to us very soon. This GLAM Store exclusive and limited figure as this one comes with two new jackets and a new head with a very, mischievous facial expression. It also looks like he has a new hand to but I'm not sure about that. Regardless this new Bouya is a must get.
Great, another thing to buy for the holidays. ^_^'''

Well that takes care of my DURAN DURAN lyric quota for today.
The popular and well made RAH Crows X Worst series continues to grow and grow. This time we have Hanaki Guriko and Tessho looking as good as they always do. I gotta say this line continues to be more impressive with each passing figure. The scale, sculpt and clothing quality continue to be top notch and all that does is make me look forward to what else Medicom has in store for us.
Expect both of these RAH to be released mid 2008.

Outside of the Ultimate Warrior not many people can actually pull off the tassel look. Especially if you're a super powerful cyborg but I guess if you are a powerful cyborg than I guess you can wear whatever the hell you want.
Even if what you wear are tassels. Seriously, who the hell am I to question the use of tassels?
As for the doll itself I'm glad to see he comes with tall of his gloves (each set of gloves had a different type of power). Actually I'd be shocked if he didn't (after all that was kinda his gimmick).

Dig the opening below.
Normally people complain when it comes to doing 2.0 versions of figures. Some of that gripe is legit especially when lets say the first one came out the year before and a better one gets released right after. But in this case 2.0 is a welcomed upgrade (at least visually).
Needless to say this looks awesome, the materials look great and essentially I don't have a bad thing to say this one. At all (although some have their own legit reasons to not jump for joy as the first Wingman came out not THAT long ago).
